And come December 29, Star Plus' Jai Maa Durga is ready to take us on an emotional journey of fantasy-reality and good-evil. Seeking to replace the successful celebrity dance competition, Nach Baliye 3, the devotional fictional weekly, which is produced by Sagar Films Pvt Ltd, aims to 'touch the lives of the ordinary people with its inspirational content and bring their inner strength to the forefront'. Jai Maa Durga is an adaptation of Durga Shaptshati, and tells the story of relationships, and how circumstances affect these very relationships. The protagonists are Sumukhi and Surath and their love story which goes through upheavals because of their beliefs in honour and duty, betrayal and distrust. It has been an eventful year for television. Our senses have been exposed to so much hype and hoopla of different reality shows that it is time to do something for the soul.

Grapes are sour theory Says Star Plus
As Everyone Knows Rakhi Sawant on Tuesday filed a criminal complaint against Star Plus channel, alleging them of cheating after she lost in the finals of reality show Nach Baliye 3.
Star Plus in turn has rejected the charges of malpractice and called the whole fiasco as nothing but just a publicity stunt by Rakhi. They even refused to comment on the police case filed as claimed by Rakhi.
Mr. Keertan, Executive Vice-President & General Manager, Star Plus says, “Currently we have not received any communication either from Rakhi or from Police. We feel this is just a publicity stunt by Rakhi just like all other publicity stunts. We would not like to comment until we receive a clear communication.” Mr. Keertan also cleared the allegation of the faulty voting system saying, “We have not done anything of the sort. She is alleging lot of things, throwing a lot of allegations in the air, but where is the evidence to prove any of these allegations? Tomorrow anybody in the street can charge anything on anybody. Without any evidence or proof, you just cannot speak out.”
Seeing the manner in which the controversial star, Rakhi has gone all out, the channel feels that this is more of a case of a sour looser. “See, till she made it to the finals and other couples were getting eliminated, everything was right. So what happened now? Essentially we would say it’s a simple case of Grapes are sour theory”, says Mr. Keertan.
What Do u Say Friends Is this really a case of ' Grapes are sour ' Or What Rakhi stated is Correct ?

'Maha Muqabla' Ends and the Finalists of Nach Baliye Revealed!
A nail-biting shoot for the four jodis - Rakhi Sawant-Abhishek Awasthi, Kashmera Shah-Krushna Abhishek, Amita Chandekar-Karan Patel and Sanjeeda Sheikh-Aamir Ali, as they waited with bated breath, empty stomach for that important announcement - Who will be the first pair to go into the finals? Here's what we saw and heard in the three hour-long shoot, which will be shown on Friday. Every segment of the episode was introduced and wrapped up with a robust playing of dhol and cymbals. A group of musicians was specially called in to play the Ganpati visarjan kind of tapori music. The beats were so catchy that not one stiff shoulder could resist from swaying to them.
Amita Chandekar looked pretty in a halter neck green and black gown while Sanjeeda looked lovely in a floral dress. Her yellow sandals only added to her pretty picture. Kashmera and Krushna stuck to each other like Siamese twins. They were the only couple to not leave their sides while the rest kept changing their seats. Rakhi looked petite and slimmer in her black dress than her screen avatar prompting her fans to comment on her weight loss.Nach Baliye 1 runner-up jodi, Poonam Narula and Manish Goel danced to the 'Hoton pe aisi baat' Jewel Thief number. While Poonam faulted in her steps, she insisted on hearing the judges' remarks after their performance. David Dhawan said, 'Poonam, you had a lot of energy and that little weight you have, also looked good'. Vaibhavi Merchant commented on Manish's great attempt to ape Dev Anand's famous gait.
For this Friday episode, Sanjeeda and Amita have performed to the Deedar de song, while Rakhi and Kashmera have done the Badi mushkil number from Lajja, Krushna and Abhishek have matched steps to Shahid Kapoor's Nagada number while Sanjeeda-Amita and Aamir and Karan performed on Jeene ke hain chaar din. Looking at them dance, Vaibhavi said, 'They are dancing better with their same-sex partners than their real jodis. May be next season should have jodis of a different kind.'Krushna was the uncrowned winner of the episode as every one from the judges to fans to co-contestants praised his dancing style effusively And finally, Krushna was overwhelmed when Manish said, 'Dancing mein toh main aapka naakhun hoon. Aap bahut hi achche dancer hain.' A beaming Kashmera soaked in all the praise.
And finally the moment of truth came when Pulkit Samrat, better known as Lakshya of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi took out a pack of cards and asked Vaibhavi to pick any one. He then took a small wire and lit it with a lighter to give out a pattern of 7D.
Congratulations followed by Oscar-like speeches by the jodi as they thanked everyone while the judges just stopped short of weeping tears of joy. Meanwhile, the other three jodis kept their smiles intact despite disappointment writ large on their body language, as they trudged into
their respective make up vans for some quick lunch followed by rehearsals, for the last time to woo the jury.
Don't miss the announcement of the 2 finalists amidst high drama, energy & masti on Friday & Saturday, Dec 14 & 15 @ 8 pm only on Star Plus.

Abhishek, Krushna work their charm
Arch rivals Abhishek and Krushna took to the Nach Baliye floor together this week. Performing on the hit number Nagara Bajaa from the film Jab We Met the two seemed completely at ease and had the audience and judges engrossed in their act.
The everyone included Ishaa Koppikar who said that she was looking forward to seeing this act the entire evening. “Yes it was very sweet of her to say that. After all the hard work we put in our act I’m happy she liked it.”
And it isn’t just this week that Abhishek has impressed everyone with his dancing skills. Last week Abhishek’s nan-chaku performance left Vaibhavi equally impressed. “It felt very nice to get that. It makes you feel nice for all the hard work you put in. And believe me we did put in a lot of effort for this round. Rakhi too had next to no time to prepare the mujra and she also did a good job. So it was a good round for both of us,” he says.
Abhishek says that both Rakhi and he are now waiting to hear about the two finalists and if they have succeeded in making it to the final round.
“We have worked very hard and if we didn’t make it we would be very disappointed. Rakhi will be very upset too. We both desperately want to make it to the final round and in fact win the competition!” exclaims Awasthi.
Well considering the past few rounds that Rakhi and Abhishek have been enjoying Abhishek’s wish just might come true.

Aamir - Karan perform together
Aamir and Karan will be seen performing together on Friday night’s episode on Jeene ke Hai Chaar Din from Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
Aamir says "It was a fun episode. We hardly had any time to rehearse… We had fun in the song. The theme was very nice. The most important thing was that no one was going to judge us and no one was going to give us points for this performance. So we were in quite a relaxed mood."
"I know Karan from Kahani… days. We have worked together and it is not that we were interacting first time on this show. I know that our dance was not the best dance. But it was completely entertaining. Judges appreciated it a lot so it was amazing. Both of us enjoyed it,” says Ali. David complimented Aamir his costume made him look like Salman Khan.
The episode will be telecast on Friday. At the end of Friday’s episode one finalist will be announced who will make it directly into the final at the end of the show. So who will make it into the finals?

Amita - Sanjeeda hit it off
Amita – Sanjeeda performed together for the first time for Friday's episode. Both thje beautiful actresses danced on the famous track Deedar De from the movie Dus. It was quite exciting experience for Sanjeeda and Amita.
"It was great dancing with Sanjeeda as the theme was very nice. The song was choreographed by Kennel. It was quite scary as we only rehearsed on the set before filming. But she is a good dancer and also a good human being. We really enjoyed ourselves,” says Amita.
“I'm just wishing her all the best for the competition because she is a good dancer and she is a hard worker. We both shoot in the same location in Sankraman and so now we always spend time together whenever we are free…Nach has definitely helped me make new friends!”

Poonam and Manish back on Nach baliye 3
Poonam and Manish back on NB
The finalists from Nach Baliye’s first season – Poonam and Manish Goel – were back on the sets of Nach Baliye this week as they egged down the final four before the announcement of the finalists were announced.
Speaking on the NB floor, Manish said that he was quite relieved not to be a part of the competition this year. “Look at the people performing this year… one better than the other … so I am glad we aren’t competing this year. The competition is too tough,” he said.
The television actor was seen sympathizing with the dancers. “We have been where they are and the only advice we can give is that don’t be nervous. Just go out there give it your best,” he says.
The couple who performed on the song Hothon Pe Aisee Baat from Jewel Thief said they could most associate themselves with jodi no 2, Amita and Karan. “We were just like them. We started very badly but then we continued to progress and managed to do well. So we can definitely connect to them!” signed of Manish Goel.

first Jodi to have a direct entry into the finals of Nach Baliye 3
Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh are the first Jodi to have a direct entry into the finals of Nach Baliye 3. They beat the other 3 Jodis – Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek, Kashmera and Krushna, Karan Patel and Amita Chandekar in the voting game as they polled the highest number of votes. The episode will be telecast on Friday where besides the results, will be shown Jodi performances of a different kind.
Coming back to Sanjeeda and Aamir, the very good looking couple and easily the coolest, with no needless antics and no dramebaazi, seemed pleasantly surprised when their Jodi number was announced through a little magic show put up by Pulkit Samrat, better known as Lakshya of Kyunki. Meanwhile, the other 3 Jodis will have to perform one last time to woo the jury to secure the 2nd position for the Finale slated for December 22nd.

An Ecstatic Sanjeeda!
Sanjeeda Sheikh is known to be one of the bubbliest actress's in the telly world today, and post her last performance in Nach Baliye 3, the excitement has just become double fold. The episode in which Madhuri Dixit made an appearance was definitely a memorable time for all the contestants, but Sanjeeda vows she could never forget that day after what Madhuri told her.
Apparently after watching her performance with partner Aamir, Madhuri claimed that she could see her jhalak in Sanjeeda. With this compliment, Sanjeeda burst out into tears and sure couldn't believe her ears. Ever since Sanjeeda has been hopping around with joy exclaiming and telling anyone who would be interested in lending a ear.
"This has to be the best compliment I have received in my life till date. If Madhuriji could say something like she sees herself in me, then nothing could be bigger for me", says Sanjeeda.
Considered to be the strongest couple of the lot, Aamir and Sanjeeda seem to be getting better with each passing performance.
Well actions definitely do speak louder than words.

Rajiev Dinkar speaks on Karan - Kavita
Karan Grover and Kavita Kaushik’s choreographer Rajiev Dinkar is upset. He says that although he may accept the criticism that is being levied on his students he doesn’t believe them to be correct.
“But I do not like to be in controversies. If I would continue with same dance form then I would definitely improve the steps and people will like it. But like I said it is matter of day. We will perform strongly next coming episodes,” adds Rajiev
Although the couple scored 25 marks in the first round things didn’t go very ell in round two for them. However, Rajiev says it’s normal for people to have good and bad days.
“I am working in the industry for six years. One of my films is celebrating a golden jubilee now. I am not claiming that I am big choreographer...Karan and Kavita are working hard. They can catch the beats and everything...For example Shubhash Ghai’s Ram Lakhan and Pardes were hits but Yaadein could not do well. But he never stopped doing films. Same is the case with everyone. It is a matter of what happens on that day. There is some concept about dance in everyone’s mind and if you can’t match that concept then even a good performance looks average,” he says.
Wonder if there is someone in particular that he is trying to hint at?

Sowmya speaks on Kiran and Ritu’s elimination
Delhi based choreographer Sownya is still in shock after her students Ritu and Kiran were eliminated tonight. She feels that the elimination came too early and too quick. However she hopes that the couple will find its way back into the competition through the wild card entry.
“I never thought only that my couple is going to get eliminated like this in the first round only. I think it’s not due to the marks because we got good enough marks… but the problem is in the votes that come in and that is not in my hand. Everyone liked my choreography and their performance as well but it maybe it was my bad day that’s why Ritu become blanked at the last minute,” says Sowmya.
So what according to her went wrong?
“They are under a lot of stress and after each and every performance they are getting more and more stressed. When Ritu blanked out and stopped dancing suddenly Kiran also stopped after watching Ritu. He could have tried to do something different like taking her round or something to manage that situation,” says Sowmya.
“It was not my lucky day so I don’t want to blame anyone. Kiran and Ritu know all the technical aspects relating to dance. They were also confident back stage before coming to perform but suddenly Ritu became blank and that can be happen with any one!” adds the choreographer.
Who do you should have been eliminated tonight?
“If you ask me technically and practically I will say Shakti and Shivangi because on that particular day Shivangi was not performing!”

Last minute nerves for the Choreographers
With four days to go before Nach Baliye 3 will be unveiled before the public, the choreographers are as nervous as their couple. They speak to us about their students’s performances and their preparations for the next round.
Sweta Keswani and Alex O’Neil: Padmini Haldankar
During the shoot I was nervous. I had never expected that we will get as good response from judges as we got. My main aim was to show how Alex performs as before this he was not considered a dancer but with this performance every one has come to know that even he can dance. I was not expecting that Ishaa Koppikar will appreciate our performance but now I’m more worried for the next episode as the theme is completely different. Its fusion so let’s see I’m hoping that even this concept will be appreciated by the judges.
Amita and Karan Patel: Sanjay Yadav
I’m nervous and tensed. We are working harder so that in the next round we won’t disappoint our judges and audience as the next round is more difficult. It is fusion based so it’s completely different from Bollywood songs.
Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek Awasthi: Pratap Shetty
I’m very excited to watch my couple dancing. But now for the next round I’m also tensed as Abhishek is not well. There is also some confusion in the theme as I have taught them something different but production house wants a fusion dance which is completely different and now I have to start all over again!
Shivangi and Shakti Kapoor: Sylvester
I’m waiting to watch my couple dancing on the Nach Baliye 3 platform as they are ready! We have made the team of trio S and it’s going to rock this competition as we have already started the rehearsals for the next episode!
Amita Sethi and Vikas Sethi: Minaz and Hasina
We have to work hard as her injury is still not healed which is very bad for us but I know she will cooperate with me. Performance wise I’m very tensed because as choreographers this our first attempt. My main concern is gone as Amita lacked confidence and I have managed to get rid of her stage fright. Now I’m working for another around which is more difficult due her injury so let see…
Kavita Kaushik and Karan Grover: Rajiev Diwakar
I’m not nervous at all but we are working hard to match up in the second round which is slightly difficult but now we are rehearsing day and night. My funda of dancing is that you enjoy your dance and get the correct expression.
Sanjeeda Sheikh and Aamir Ali: Chetan and Arun
Our first performance was not so bad but now we have to work hard. I feel Nach Baliye is like giving exams… each round is like a different paper and you have to prepare equally hard for all papers. You know if one goes well it doesn’t mean the rest well and so you have to prepare for all rounds with a lot of hard work. Each round will have different steps and we will get different marks.
Kashmeera and Krushna: Raju and Shabana
Our last performance was good so I’m very excited to watch that episode on 21st but now the expectations are very high so for that I’m very tensed and nervous as we have to think some different concepts that will match the theme.
Ritu Janjani and Kiran Janjani: Sownya
I’m not so nervous because that shoot is over now but now I’m quite tensed as for the first round we had enough time… close to one month to prepare but now we have very less time so that means more hard work and concentration.
Pooja Bedi and Hanif Hilal: Sumeet
I’m not nervous. We handled the first shoot well and we are very bold to handle everything that will come. And now we are working hard for the next time.

Surprise Surprise.. at Telly Buzz, we found out that the Hosts for Nach Baliye Season 3 are none other than the Champion Jodi of Season 2 - Husein & Tina!
Rewind - September 2006 - TV actor Husein and his pretty, non-celebrity wife Tina, join the bandwagon of celebrity couples competing each other for the title of Best Celebrity Dance Couple. Husein & Tina rocked the stage with their moves & versatility.. The couple & their choreographers, were highly appreciated by the judges for their unique concepts and dancing skills. Soon, they danced their way into the hearts of the audience, and went on to win the competition.
September 2007 - A brand new season of Nach Baliye with a new team, 10 new jodi's, new judges, new channel (went on from Star One to Star Plus) & new hosts too! Husein & Tina, remain the only common factor between Season 2 & Season 3! The audience has known Husein for his acting, as well as anchoring skills (having hosted several shows in the past, and currently co-hosting Indian Idol 3). But, for Tina, Nach Baliye Season 3 will be a major foray into the world of anchoring shows. And naturally, she is very anxious & nervous.
Wish Tina & Husein - All the very Best. We hope to see them rock the show, like last year..albeit, in a new role, as anchors of the most awaited show of 2007!

New Jury for Nach Baliye3
New Jury For Nach Baliye 3
Isha Kopikar and Vaibhavi Merchant will judge the reality show Nach Baliye 3.
However, a film-maker who will make the jury complete (in all sense), is yet to be decided. A reliable source from the channel says, “Ishaa and Vaibhavi have been finalised. But they are yet to sign their contract papers. As for our choice, Vaibhavi is a super choreographer and Ishaa is already known for her moves.”
Last year’s jury members seem to be busy for next season.. Kunal Kohli has already opted out of the show as he is pretty busy with his next movie starring Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherji.
Even Saroj Khan is busy scripting her film and is conceptualising a dance-based reality show.
Malaika Arora Khan also has other commitments this year. Therefore, the third season of Nach Baliye, will have a new set of jury..

When quizzed about it Prem Kamath, VP, marketing and communication, of the channel says, “These are all speculations. We are exploring our options. As for finalising Ishaa and Vaibhavi, I cannot comment.”
Ishaa and Vaibhavi, however, are more forthcoming. Both of them told this paper that they are presently in talks with the channel.

NACH BALIYA 3 Starting From 21st September 2007 on Star Plus
Our telly couples are demanding such fat remunerations that the channel organizing third season of Nach Baliye is finding it a very tou
gh task to go ahead. While the more established stars are busy with their daily soaps, the lesser ones are demanding unheard of money to participate in the show. Some telly stars are not comfortable with the idea of being seen as a couple though they have been dating each other for quite some time now.
As a source says about the whole problem, ‘ The telly stars are asking for unheard of money for the show. It’s simply beyond our budget. We have had approached at least twenty couples. The biggest problem we faced this year was that the couples who has been dating are not prepared to come out in open. They were extremely uncomfortable when we approached them for the show.’
However, the channel has finalized the following eight couples for the show
and the signing process will begin this weak. Rakhi Sawant- Abhishek Awashthi, Indraneil Sengupta-Barkha Bisht, Sandeep Baswana- Ashlesha Sawant, Aamir Ali- Sanjeeda Sheikh, Kishwar Merchant- Hiten Paintal, Kiran Karmarkar- Rinku, Pooja Ghai- Vikaas Kalantari, Kavita Kaushik- Karan Grover, Karna Patel- Amita Chandekar. Another couple will be decided this week and the show will go on air from 21st September 2007 on Star Plus every Friday & Saturday.
